The 3’s were the only Wolvercote team to get a game in for week one of the new season, with the rain accounting for the other fixtures before the start of play. In their maiden match at new home Kennington, Walsh’s warriors did well to restrict Deddington to 130 in a rain-reduced 25 over match, and fell just 18 short in reply being 112/9 when the overs ran out. Highlights were 4 wickets for Rajat Pratap in his first game for the Wolves and 35 for Chairman Crouch, including a balletic pirouetting swish-miss at a wide longhop. Thanks to Chris P and Norm for the pitch prep, Raymond for umpiring, and Alex for scoring.
