First XI
Away to Horspath, the 1’s restricted the home side to 180, (3 wickets for Barkat and 2 each for Tariq and Sahil). Mark (53) and Ben (31) got the chase off to a great start before Tohsif (39*) saw us home with Richie in support and 5 wickets to spare.
Second XI
At home to Cairns Fudge, the 2’s won the toss and elected to bowl whilst there was cloud cover and juice in the wicket. Neil Sadler (5 for 16) and Yusuf Rahim (2 for 24) were in the wickets as again the 2’s exemplary fielding (7 catches, including a worldie from Harry, behind the stumps) dismissed the Fudge for 101. Muaz and Yatish got off to a great start, adding 53 for the first wicket before a middle order wobble, caused by Dollymore’s induckers, meant the 2’s made hard work of the chase but eventually got over the line with 7 wickets down.
Third XI
Away to Bletchingdon, the 3’s did brilliantly to restrict the hosts to 77 with 4 wickets for Ayyaz, 3 for Ajay and 2 for Imran, 8 catches and a run out. Unfortunately, the 3’s fell two runs short, despite some doughty resistance from CJ (18*), sooo close!
Fourth XI
At home to Tiddington 4’s, Wolves 4’s did well to keep the visitors to 181 (2 wickets for Miles Bratby), before Gabe (100*) and Xander (34*) knocked off the necessary to see Wolves home by 10 wickets with nearly 14 overs to spare. A resounding win!
