"Wolvercote Cricket Club (WCC) is an inclusive, friendly club, and we welcome all ages and abilities. We play competitive cricket in the right spirit – we play to win, but we always have a smile on our faces. We pride ourselves on being a big-hearted and open club."
Wolvercote Cricket Club’s Youth Section provides kids from the ages of 9-19 with the opportunity to play club cricket. Our youth set up is fast-growing and well respected. In 2016 won Chance to Shine’s Satellite Club of the Year Award. This was awarded for our work with Cherwell School in providing kids an opportunity to play cricket where there were previously limited opportunities.
Our matches are played at Cutteslowe Park, Kennington, and St Edward’s School. We welcome players of all abilities and cricketing experience. All age groups have a busy season starting with indoor winter training, and an outdoor season which consists of a variety of friendlies, league and cup matches.
**Free Girls Cricket in 2024**
We have recently been awarded a Sports England grant to fund a girls set up in 2024. This will provide cricket both in the winter and summer free of charge to girls including no match fees, membership, etc to improve accessibility and reduce barriers.
